At the initiative of Nataliia Nestor, Deputy Director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, the ENFSI Board decided to suspend the membership of the Russian Federal Center of Forensic Science of the Ministry of Justice (Moscow, Russia) and the North-Western Forensic Science Center (St. Petersburg) in ENFSI. Both institutions are part of the structure of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.
The head of ENFSI Pinelopi Miniati personally announced the decision to suspend the membership of the Russian forensic institutions.
In addition, decisions were made to expel all Russian scientists from the European Academy of Forensic Science (EAFS) and to allocate funds for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
