The event, held in Krakow, Poland, brought together leading specialists in technical document examination from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, Denmark, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and other countries.

KSRIFE was represented by:

  • Hanna Artamonova, Lead Forensic Expert, Department of Document Materials Studies, Laboratory of Special Research Methods;

  • Olena Pryimak, Chief Forensic Expert, Department of Technical Document Examination, Criminalistics Research Laboratory.

Our experts presented a poster titled «On Establishing the Age of Document Elements».

Participants discussed current issues in expert practice, including methods for dating documents and challenges in examining handwritten entries and seal impressions. The program also featured a roundtable on methods used in European laboratories to determine the age of handwritten entries and a practical workshop on examining seal impressions.

KSRIFE’s participation in EDEWG advances international scientific and technical cooperation, facilitates the exchange of experience, and promotes the adoption of modern methods of forensic document examination in Ukraine.
