On November 29-30, 2024, the Eighth Scientific and Practical Conference of the Ukrainian Association of Polygraph Examiners, dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the organization, was held, where the victories, achievements and prospects of Ukrainian polygraph examiners were presented.

At the conference, Tetiana Tamakova, Deputy Head of the Psychological Research Laboratory of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, made a presentation in which she revealed the psychodiagnostic component in forensic psychological examinations using a computer polygraph, and Tetiana Morozova, Leading Researcher of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, made a presentation “Analysis of 26 years of practice of using the methodology for revealing hidden information in Ukraine: history, adaptation, developments, effectiveness”. Other forensic experts of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise Yevheniia Nevakh, Yurii Sitsinskyi and Anastasiia Moroz also took an active part in the conference.

The participants discussed current issues related to the peculiarities of using the methodology of detecting hidden information in forensic institutions of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and during investigations in the military and commercial spheres.

During the productive discussions, participants had the opportunity to personally present and defend their opinions with the aim of mutual support, exchange of experience and further development of polygraphy in Ukraine.
