On December 05, 2024, the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Criminalistics and Forensics: Current State and Prospects for Development” was held, organized and conducted by the State Scientific Research Center of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Oleksandr Ruvin, Director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech in which he noted that the determining factor in the strategy for the development and improvement of forensic activities is its innovative component. Also, many problematic issues require generalization of expert practice under martial law, search and development of new technological solutions and effective interdepartmental tools for the interaction of forensic institutions.
The issues of modern tasks of forensic science and forensic examination, the use of scientific and technical means and innovative technologies in the investigation of criminal offenses under martial law, various aspects of professional burnout of forensic experts and ways to prevent them, etc. were considered and discussed.
