The primary focus of the negotiations with the Director of the Bureau, Maira Čentoricka, and the Deputy Director, Raimonds Apinis, was the development of a strategic partnership. Specifically, our Latvian colleagues will assist KNDISE in introducing a forensic science discipline entirely new to our Institute.

Particular attention during the visit was dedicated to a practical exchange of expertise: KNDISE representatives toured the Latvian handwriting analysis and technical document examination laboratories, where they familiarised themselves with the state-of-the-art methodologies and technological instrumentation utilised by their colleagues.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our Latvian partners for their support of Ukrainian forensic science and their openness to dialogue
