The Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine

received a certified copy of Ukraine's national treasure

On June 3, 2025, the KSRIFE received a facsimile edition of the Peresopnytsia Gospel, an outstanding monument of the ancient Ukrainian language and art of the 16th century, from the Blessed Metropolitan Volodymyr Memorial Fund.

This is one of the first translations of the canonical text of the Four Gospels into Old Ukrainian, a handwritten monument created by the Volyn princess Anastasiia Zaslavska.

The original of this document is kept in the V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. 

During their inauguration, the Presidents of Ukraine swear an oath to the people on two sacred objects — the Constitution of Ukraine and the Peresopnytsia Gospel.
