On March 28, 2025, the Laboratory of Economic Research of the KFI held a scientific and practical round table on “Topical issues of improving forensic expertise” with the participation of experts from Vinnytsia, Kropyvnytskyi, Ternopil branches of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise and teachers and students of the Department of Financial Investigations and Economic Security of the Educational and Research Institute of Economic Security and Customs of the State Tax University.

The scientific and practical discussion was attended by Olha Lukova, Head of the Economic Research Laboratory, Oksana Markina, Head of the UBP Department of the Economic Research Laboratory, Ihor Hrynenko, Head of the WEF Department of the Economic Research Laboratory, Mykhailo Poliennikov, Senior Researcher, Iryna Nikiforova, Leading Forensic Expert, Kateryna Hovorova, Senior Forensic Expert, and others. The event was moderated by Senior Research Fellow Maryna Rudaya.

During the roundtable, the participants discussed issues related to the priority areas of expert economic research and provided proposals to fulfill the order of the Department of Expert Support of Justice of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine to prepare relevant proposals for amendments to the Scientific and Methodological Recommendations on the Preparation and Appointment of Forensic Expertise and Expert Research.

At the meeting, students and teachers actively engaged in interactive communication with experts and had the opportunity to hear answers to problematic issues that arise in the process of using specialized knowledge in conducting economic examinations.
