On April 02, 2025, at the invitation of the Central Ukrainian Institute of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management, Viktor Poltavets, Chief Forensic Expert of the KFI KFI Branch and Tetiana Goncharenko, Senior Forensic Expert, took part in the practical and theoretical seminar “Aspects of the implementation of environmental legislation, combating illegal felling of trees, determining the amount of damage, appointment and conduct of forensic engineering, environmental and commodity expertise”.
The seminar focused on the following topics:
- the concept of forensic examination;
- classification of forensic examinations;
- system of state expert institutions of Ukraine;
- forensic commodity expertise, general provisions and tasks;
- key aspects of forensic engineering and environmental expertise in Ukraine;
- the role of forensic engineering and environmental expertise in criminal and administrative proceedings, as well as the importance of expert opinions in resolving disputes over violations of environmental legislation.
The seminar resulted in a discussion of topical issues related to the appointment and conduct of commodity and environmental engineering examinations, as well as ways to implement the current legislation in the field of appointment and conduct of forensic examinations, in particular, under martial law.
