On January 30, 2025, in Uzhhorod, the National Association of Patent Attorneys of Ukraine held a workshop “Counterfeit Goods: Experts Say “STOP”, aimed at highlighting the current opportunities to stop the circulation of counterfeit goods with the help of special expert knowledge. The event was attended by international and domestic experts who learned how to effectively use modern achievements and international experience in their research.

The program of the workshop included familiarization and discussion of issues related to the identification of illegal trade in tobacco products, trace evidence of tobacco product packs, as well as the implementation of modern tools for identifying illegal products in Ukraine.

The event was attended by employees of the Criminalistics Laboratory – Deputy Head of the Materials, Substances and Products Research Department Oleksandr Borzov, Chief Forensic Expert Mykola Molyboha and Leading Forensic Expert Kateryna Hryshko (both representing the Trace and Ballistics Research Department).
