On September 18 and October 24, 2024, the Training Center of Prosecutors of Ukraine held a training on “Peculiarities of pre-trial investigation and support of public prosecution in criminal proceedings on the facts of committing official and corruption offenses”. The speaker at the training was Oksana Markina, Head of the Accounting and Taxation Research Department of the Laboratory of Economic Research of KFI.
The purpose of the event was to increase the professional competence of the participants in the peculiarities of conducting forensic economic examination, to determine the list of research objects, to outline the main tasks, as well as an indicative list of issues to be resolved in expert specialties: 11.1 “Examination of accounting, tax accounting and reporting documents”, 11.2 “Examination of documents on economic activities of enterprises and organizations”, 11.3 “Examination of documents on financial and credit transactions”.
The training program included theoretical training and case studies. Oksana Markina drew the participants’ attention to typical mistakes in drafting orders for forensic economic expertise in terms of asking questions to the expert, and also revealed the peculiarities related to the appointment of complex examinations.
