February 24 will forever be remembered in the history of Ukraine as a sad and tragic date – on this day in 2022, regular units of the russian armed forces, in violation of all international agreements, crossed the Ukrainian state border and launched missile and bomb attacks on many cities of Ukraine. The invaders were confident that in 3 days they would seize all important infrastructure and military facilities and decision-making places and bring Ukrainians to their knees.

But things didn’t go as they thought they would – these events launched the heroic resistance of our freedom-loving people, which continues to this day. During this time, we have demonstrated our best qualities to both the aggressors and the whole world – unwavering will, steadfastness, sacrifice and courage, which have been manifested from the first hours of the war and have been going on for three years.

The Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise did not stop its work for a single day, continuing to fulfill its duties in good faith. Its staff has made and continues to make its contribution to the fight against the russian invasion – some of its employees have joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, all of them help the volunteer movement and the army and through their professional activities bring our Victory and just punishment for the initiators and perpetrators of criminal acts closer.
