Tymur Tsapko, Head of the of Trasological, Ballistics, Explosive and Weapons Research Department of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, received the status of a member of the Association of Firearm and Tool Mark Examiners (AFTE, USA).
The Association of Firearm and Tool Mark Examiners (AFTE) is the international professional organization for practitioners that has been dedicated to the exchange of information, methods and best practices, and the furtherance of research since its creation in 1969.
Currently, the Association of Experts on the Identification of Firearms and Instruments has almost 850 members from 40 countries.
In addition to the exchange of information, AFTE is also responsible for the certification of experts who wish to confirm their level of qualification in the identification of firearms.
The Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise sincerely congratulates Tymur Tsapko on receiving the status of an AFTE member, which confirms his high professional level as an expert in weapons research.
