Employees of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine took part in the III All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference “Theory and practice of forensic examination and criminalistics”.
The scientific event was based on the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on the co-organization of the Donetsk State University of Management. The main purpose of the meeting was to highlight and discuss current issues of the implementation of domestic forensic activities and the development of forensic science.
Yurii Boshytskyi, rector of the Kiev University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in his welcoming address thanked all those present for their participation. He noted that modern forensic examination is a complex dynamic process that requires well-established communication and exchange of experience of experts, the development of new methods and approaches to the implementation of professional activities and the study of innovations forensic science.
The conference participants discussed current issues of the modern capabilities of forensic examinations and the use of special knowledge in the investigation of crimes, the use of non-traditional methods of obtaining evidence in criminal proceedings, the status of experts and international cooperation in the field of forensic examination.
In addition, there were considered topical issues of intensity of expert activity through global standardization in the modern forensic examination and prospects for the development of forensic expert activity in Ukraine.
Oleksandr Zherebko, the head of the department of normative and methodological activity and standardization of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise and Anton Kaminskyi junior researcher presented theses on the theory of forensic science and the professional activities of experts in Ukraine.
