All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference “Criminal-legal, criminological, criminal-procedural and criminological problems of combating crime in martial law”

On April 20, 2022, the All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference “Criminal-legal, criminological, criminal-procedural and criminological problems of combating crime in martial law” was held by video conference. The scientific event was organized by the National Academy of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, and E.O. Didorenko the Luhansk State University of Internal Affairs.

Representatives of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine were Andrii Poltavskyi, Assistant Director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, Oleksandr Zherebko, Head of the Normative and Methodical Activity and Standardization Department and Oleh Baulin, Head of the Scientific Activity and International Cooperation Department of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.

The conference participants discussed topical issues of criminal law qualification of war crimes, forensic and forensic support of law enforcement in martial law, and improvement of criminal procedure legislation in martial law. In addition, special attention was paid to the issue of international criminal justice and international crimes committed in Ukraine.

The conference was attended by representatives of relevant departments and offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, higher education institutions, and research institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
