On November 25, 2022, a meeting of the section of forensic traceology and ballistics examinations at the Scientific Advisory and Methodological Council on Forensic Science at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine was held via videoconference.
From the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine in the work of the section participated:
- Viktor Kostetskyi, Head of the Criminalistics Laboratory;
- Tymur Tsapko, Head of the Trasological, Ballistics, Explosive and Weapons Research Department;
- Ihor Samoilenko, Chief Forensic Expert of the Trasological, Ballistics, Explosive and Weapons Research Department of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.
During the meeting of the section, the participants considered the technical tasks of the research, which are planned to be included in the Thematic Plan of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine for 2023; the course of implementation of the research for 2022 was discussed. In addition, during the session of the section, the results of the approval in accordance with the Plan for the approval of the results of the research for 2022 were considered and the results of implementation were considered in accordance with the Plan for the implementation of the research for 2022. Also, in accordance with the agenda, the participants of the section discussed topical issues of forensic traceology and ballistic expertise and agreed on the work plan of the section for 2023.
