Despite the martial law and active hostilities in Ukraine, forensic institutions continue to operate. According to the approved plan, the spring sections of the Scientific Advisory and Methodological Council on Forensic Science at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine have started.
Thus, on April 6, 2022, a meeting of the section on art history and historical-archaeological examination took place, which was attended by representatives of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, namely:
- Nataliia Nestor, Deputy Director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise;
- Iryna Khodchenko , Head of the Art Examination Sector;
- Alina Diachenko, Forensic Expert;
- Olena Yudina, Junior Researcher.
During the work of the section, topical issues of research, reports, and reviews were considered. The section also discussed the need to involve experts in the restoration of architectural monuments and other cultural heritage that were damaged during hostilities in the country.
