On November 9, 2022, a meeting of the section of forensic engineering and transport expertise of the Scientific Advisory and Methodological Council on Forensic Science at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine was held via videoconference mode.
From the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the following participated in the work of the section:
- Pavlo Borshchevskyi, Head of the Department of Auto-technical Types of Research of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise;
- Andrii Yukhymenko, Head of the Sector of Commodity Research of Military Property, Equipment, and Weapons;
- Vasyl Matveiev, Senior Forensic Expert, Department of Transport and Commodity Research.
In the course of the work of the section, the research topics planned for inclusion in the thematic research plan of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine for 2023, and the progress of the research implementation in the current year were considered. In addition, the participants of the section considered the results of the approval and implementation of the research, according to the plans for 2022, discussed promising scientific developments in engineering and transport expertise and the relevance of the recommended scientific and technical and reference literature, the scope of the training program for forensic experts.
In the final part of the section, the participants discussed and agreed on the work plan of the forensic engineering and transport examination section for 2023 and summarized information on the implementation of the section’s previous decisions.
