On May 19, 2022, a meeting of the forensic auto technical examination section of the Scientific Advisory and Methodological Council on Forensic Science at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine was held by video conference.
Representatives of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv and Odesa Scientific Research Institutes of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine took part in the work of the section.
From the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine in the work of the section participated:
- Pavlo Borshchevskyi, Head of the Department of Auto-technical Types of Research of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, Head of the Section;
- Oleksandr Yurchenko, Chief Forensic Expert of the Department of Auto-technical Types of Research;
- Serhii Kalmykov, Leading Forensic Expert of the Department of Auto-technical Types of Research, Secretary of the Section.
In accordance with the approved agenda, the participants of the section considered explanatory notes on R&D, proposed for inclusion in the R&D thematic plan of research institutions of forensic examinations of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine for 2023, the progress of R&D for the current year. In addition, the experts discussed and considered topical issues of forensic auto technical examination, in particular the importance of conclusions on the mechanisms of compensation for damaged vehicles related to the consequences of military aggression by the Russian army in Ukraine, etc.
The holding of section meetings promotes productive cooperation between the staff of forensic research institutions and allows them to constructively discuss a range of urgent issues for their further effective resolution.
