
Inna Holova, the Head of the Department of Commodity Research and Research of Intellectual Property Objects of KFI and Nataliia Klymova, the leading forensic expert of the Department of Commodity Research and Research of Intellectual Property Objects of KFI participated in the II conference “Protection of Rights and Forensic Expertise in the Sphere of Intellectual Property”.
The event was organized by the Intellectual
Property Committee of the Ukrainian Bar Association together with the Scientific
Research Institute of Intellectual Property of the National Academy of Law
Sciences of Ukraine.
The purpose of the event was to determine the
assessment of the impact of changes in procedural codes on the protection of
intellectual property rights and forensic expertise; discussion of the
application of the norms of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the
EU in terms of the protection of intellectual property rights; definition of the
role of forensic expertise in the process of reforming legislation in the field
of intellectual property and the creation of the High Court of Intellectual
Property; discussion of the protection of rights to non-traditional
intellectual property objects; discussion of the interaction of public
authorities in customs procedures and the movement of goods containing objects
of intellectual property the customs border.
The work of the conference participants was
organized in three sessions, namely:
- Session 1 “Reforms:
implementation and assessment of changes”;
- Session 2 “Forensic expertise
in the process of changes in procedural legislation and the creation of
the High Court of Intellectual Property”;
- Session 3 “Interactive game”
IP-court”.
The conference agenda included a number of
issues on the protection of rights and forensic expertise in the field of
intellectual property in the process of reforming legislation in the field of
intellectual property and the state system of legal protection of intellectual
property, making changes to the procedural codes of Ukraine, applying the norms
of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU and the creation of the
High Court of Intellectual Property.
The speakers of the event were the heads of law firms and lawyers' associations, leading lawyers, lawyers and patent attorneys, and forensic experts, representatives of the judiciary, government officials and domestic scientists.
