The protection of documents and securities from forgery has always been one of the most important tasks of law enforcement agencies. In recent years, the demand for falsification of documents has increased significantly. At the “household” level it can be made fake IDs, diplomas, certificates etc. Passport documents, both old and new samples, remain especially popular to be forged.
In response to the current challenges and the need for continuous professional development, experts from Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise Serhii Naumenko and Olena Pryimak have become participants in an expert training “The Protection of passports and other documents.” The event was held on the Lviv border detachment basis on the initiative of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The purpose of the training was to raise the professional level of Ukrainian specialists in checking the validity of passport documents and identifying counterfeits. The main speakers were representatives of the Federal Police of the Republic of Germany. In particular, it was a question of technological ways of printing false documents, features of research of holographic images and various ways of protection of original documents.
In addition, the participants discussed the relevance of the system analysis of the situation related to the state of protection of documents in various fields of activity.
